Are there any good Gay magazines in Greece? Just wondering how open Gay life is in Greece? Do they have gay magazines there? What are some of the most popular ones? Are there websites? |
| Most Greeks are OK when it comes to homosexuality. Lately more and more gays are coming out of the closet. But it also depends where in Greece you go, its different when you go to the city or a touristic place, and when you are inside a small village. Most the youth is much more open minded than the religious elders. Homosexuality in Greece is generally frowned upon since Greek culture is Mediterranean European, but Greeks are very tolerant and nobody would say anything to you. VERY rarely were any crimes in Greece based on homophobia. So Greece is very safe, and yes they are gay magazines & porn in Greece, and there are plenty Greek TV shows that include a gay character in the scene. |
Are there any discrimination against non gay people in Greece? I am new in this forum but I saw so many questions about heterophobia in Greece. Is it really true? I though greece is a christian country. |

What do you think about the first gay marriage in Greece that took place a few days ago? The first gay marriage in Greece was taken place in the island of Rhodes couple days ago where one gay and one lesbian couple got married. The Greek Government predicts that more and more islands would be able to perform gay marriages by the end of this summer. Do you think this is good for Greece or no ? |
| Gay marriage doesn't ever lead to bad things, so, yes I look at it as a positive action for the country for economic and social reasons. |
Greeks; Do you think Greece wil be a super power or gay power in 2015? Greece will be a gay power in 2015? |
| yes |
Is it gay marriage rates higher than straight marriage in greece? hi i m writing essay about greece
can you tell me how many percent is the gay marriage rates? |
| There is no gay marriage in greece. But in the united states and other gay countries it's rampant. Lots of gay culture in the u.s. In fact, homosexuality so rampant in english speaking countries that in non-english speaking countries they have adopted the word "gay" into their own language. Gay bars, gay parades, gay ministers. You won't find any of that in greece. When was the last time you heard of a gay pride parade in downtown athens? How about never? Haha, go back to your little gayhouse and shut the F*ck up gayster!!!!!!!!! |
The first gay marriage in Greece to take place in Tilos? whats your opinion??
I think it was about time, Greece was really backwards in this issue in comparison to other European countries. |
You are a gay? I thought you were my friend...
STOP to gay marriages in Greece, never! It's not normal, you gays, are all crazy, sick people. You are so discusting
Edit:
Starsky-do you think that all Greek people like gays? You are so wrong, I'm a Greek, not a gay! because of you people of you Fyromians call us Gayreeks! |
What became of the women during the "gay era" in ancient Greece? Presumably, the heterosexual females were left to their own, which would've put forth a sharp decline in the population. Were they, though - the hetero females - reduced into lesbian relationships, opposite of the males? Or were they celibate cases? Or were they perhaps allotted to that rare heterosexual male, in the vein of Mormon polygamy?
I know I can probably Google all this, but my eyes are sore from reading and I need to finish with some chores... |
Well not all Greeks were gay. Most were bisexual and saw the beauty in both men and women. Women had just as many chances with the men as other men did, it was all up to who the man was attracted to the most. Both men and women were seen as objects of desire in the eyes of many Greek and Roman emperors. The actual act of gay sex (sodomy) was illegal, thought most did it anyway, just behind closed doors.
So basically men and women were equal when it came to attraction. I've never heard of it being called the "gay era" but it's probably called that not because the majority of men were gay but simply because homosexuality was widely accepted, practiced, and often encouraged, as opposed to today where homosexuality is seen by many as something to be ashamed of. |
