| My friend really wants a boob job? My friend says she turns 18 she wants to get a boob job. She's only at a B right now, and she's 16. I really think it suits her, she's at a healthy weight and she looks fine without them. Although it's all her choice, she hasn't really researched into anything. | Ignore that first girl, your trying to look out for someone you care about that doesn't mean its weird to be concerned. Boob jobs are scary, I don't know anyone who has had something horrible happen after but my step mom got a boob job two years ago and its not as great as some people think. You can't really do anything for like 4 weeks because your in so much pain you don't even want to stand up, my step mom hardly moved for 2 weeks and then she would walk around the block. She didn't go back to work or school for 6 weeks and it definitely didn't turn out the way she wanted it to. She was a large B cup and wanted to be a large D cup after the boob job, the doctor told her she would be swollen for about a month or maybe a little less. Right after the surgery she was a huge DDD cup but the doctor said its all swelling and they will shrink to a D after a while. THEY NEVER DID! Two years later she is still a 34 DDD and they are way too big for her body, people don't think the difference between a D and DDD is a lot but trust me it is. I am a natural large D to small DD cup and her boobs are HUGE compared to mine, so she needs to keep in mind that even if the surgery goes good she may not get what she wants. She really really needs to research, that is the main reason why women have bad boob jobs because they go to the first and cheapest doctor they can find. My step mom researched hundreds of doctors in California and surrounding states even. She went to the most qualified doctor she could find and paid a lot more than most women pay so your friend needs to research doctors for months. It think it was a year of researching before my step mom even made a consultation with the doctor and then she went to a different doctor because she didn't feel comfortable. The best thing you can do is, help her research if she's set on getting a boob job and it wouldn't hurt to start now even. Research experience (number of boob jobs the doctor has done) and his credentials (what schools he went to and how long he went), does he have any special certificates etc. In my opinion you shouldn't spend less than $5,000 for a boob job and if you do you should ask yourself why the doctor is charging so little when an average old nobody doctor charges $4,000-$5,000.
